What Is the Job?

What is the job?

I wrote about how I got the job but what is the job?

Well, I will be the nanny for one 4-year-old girl. That's the easy version. The more detailed version is...

I will be leaving on January 8th, 2010 at 7:05 am from Indianapolis International Airport and will fly to Atlanta, GA, where I will take a connecting flight to Aruba. The family will be vacationing there and it is immensely cheaper to fly to Aruba than Caracas, Venezuela, so it works out well all around.

I will work 7 days a week for about 6 months then I will get 2 weeks vacation and then I will go back for another 6 months and then we will see from there.

In an effort not to sound like a braggart, I won't say how much I'll be making (though ask my mother and I'm sure she'll be happy to tell you) but I will say it is a great salary. Also, all of my expenses are covered (travel, personal items like shampoo and make up, food, everything). I was told to expect at least 2 trips per month so my passport should get a good work out (which if you ask me may be the best part of the job). The travel details that I know so far are Aruba for a couple days then to Caracas for a few days, then Miami for a while, then back to Caracas, then in mid-February, Cancun, Mexico. I also know that the family spends August at their Miami home.

The little girl goes to school 5 days/week from about 7 to 2 so I will get free time then and also when traveling her dad likes to spend a lot of time with her so I will get some free time then as well.

So, that's a general outline of the job. More to come.
